What Defines a Bhutanese?
Bhutan aside from being a small jewel in the world, known for its environment-friendly approach to modernisation, is also known for its communal society of people living in harmony.
And here is one such story about two youths of Bhutan, a story of friendship and loyalty. A story that reflects the bond shared by all Bhutanese. Here is a story about Jitsuen Pema and Penden Sayang.
Two people from the opposite sides of the country, of two different ethnicities having lived two different lifestyles found each other in a high school located in the capital city of Bhutan. They went on to become best of friends, held onto the friendship even after school was over and, even when they went into different directions in life.
So they both applied for the job and got selected. AB Ventures reunited two long-lost friends who always vowed to look out for each other. Now they work together in the same team-helping each other with whatever difficulties they face.
AB ventures have united other 23 youths from different parts of the country with diverse backgrounds, to work together towards achieving the mission and vision of the company. Diversity did not stop the youths from being loyal towards their work and the people who have now become part of the family.
The welcoming attitude of the Bhutanese to others is an important element of their identity. It requires utmost dedication and consistent effort to foster and maintain a connection of any relationship. And this is the area where the people of Bhutan excel. They exhibit genuine compassion, generosity, and loyalty towards the bonds they build, any work they do, or people they meet.
Bhutan comprises of different people from different ethnicities who continue to live in valleys isolated by daunting mountain passes. However, what unites them as Bhutanese are the values and morals that they share unanimously. The strong sense of community and caring for one another in Bhutan is something that distinguishes Bhutanese from others. It embodies within it the uniqueness of different regions, races, dress codes, languages, practises, religions in the country.
So, the story you just read is a typical depiction of pristine souls and sincere minds of Bhutanese oozing compassion, loyalty, and dedication from the hearts of the Himalayas.
